| In 1995, several communities grouped together to form the "SIVOM of the Seine Valley" (Carrières-sur-Seine, Chatou, Croissy-sur-Seine, Bougival, Louveciennes, Marly-le-Roi, Le Port-Marly, Le Pecq-sur-Seine, Noisy-le-Roi) and constituting the "Impressionist's Trail" ("Le Chemin des Impressionniste"). All along the pedestrian trail, more than 30 Impressionist works of art painted on their exact location are reproduced in theit real-life size on enamelled boards. In order to promote this rich cultural heritage and taking the Seine as the symbolic ponit of attractionr, the SIVOM created in 2002 the "Impressionist Country®" ("Pays des Impressionnistes"®). This host country tourism wants to emphasize all the natural and cultural inheritance of these nine countries and to extend the communication with people at large. It makes in place several projects and more particularly to build ports of call to develop cruises on the Seine river.
